DIY Lab & Themes

DIY Lab Evenings are all about bringing your own projects and ideas. But of course you are also welcome to see what others are doing or work with stuff that we have around. Thanks to donations of members we have a nice set of devices and sensors that you can start to experiment with. Underneath, you can click through to themes with examples.

At the OBA Makerspace we have a lasercutter, a vinylcutter and a 3D-printer. You can use the machines to learn, experiment and prototype. To get some inspiration, look here (3D), here (lasercutter, also search for Arduino!) and here. Just be aware that the use of the machines has some limitations (time, size, settings).

For people starting to learn, we have some kits with instructions:

  • Build your own solar powered WiFi Weather Station, you can find the manual here. Use the lasercutter or the 3D printer to make your own weatherhouse-design;-)
  • Work with TLAB.GR’S UNODE LORA Board so that you have access to The Things Network, a free open network and can build your (next) IoT application at low cost, featuring maximum security and ready to scale. You find the manual here.
